Vice President, Digital Technology The Container Store

Kalyan Chintam is responsible for overseeing the rollout and management of all digital technologies for The Container Store, the nation’s leading specialty retailer of organizing solutions, custom spaces, and in-home services. In that capacity, he oversees all strategic digital technologies related to ecommerce, mobile applications, custom spaces, marketing technologies and other functions. Throughout his career, Kalyan has sought to solve business problems and drive business transformations through the use of advanced technologies. Prior to joining The Container Store in July 2022, he was Vice President of Software Engineering at Michaels, where he led Global Infrastructure, Marketing Technology, Data Engineering, Middleware and Digital Technologies for Michaels Stores, Michaels business to business and Artistree business functions. Previously, as Head of Digital Platform & Engineering at GameStop, Kalyan led the team that supported the company’s business-driving digital transformation through technology and operational enhancements. He has also led technology and customer experience teams for a variety of other leading retailers, including Amazon, JCPenney and Macy’s. A native of India, Kalyan earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Madras.
