April Guidone is a strategic business development executive with over 20 years of experience driving millions of dollars in revenue across lifestyle and entertainment platforms. April is currently COO of SMAC Entertainment, a talent management, brand incubator, licensing, and content company, founded by Michael Strahan and Constance Schwartz-Morini. April is responsible for the overall revenue strategy, uncovering new revenue streams, creating efficiencies and structure across brand development, licensing, talent management and scripted/unscripted content. In her time at SMAC, April has overseen the company’s strategic move to bring content production in-house, the launch of several consumer brands including Snoop Doggie Doggs, a pet line with Snoop Dogg, creating new lines for Michael Strahan and WEAR by Erin Andrews, as well as the addition of several high-profile clients including Common, DK Metcalf and Stefon Diggs.
In her previous role as SVP, Global Brand & Business Development at IMG Fashion, she acted as Managing Director of the division, overseeing global brand positioning, setting the sales strategy, uncovering new revenue streams (including consumer ticket packages for the first time in NYFW history), and creating long-term strategic plans leveraging fashion as a platform (and IMG's global events) for partners like Visa, BMW and Etihad. Over the course of 6 years, April transformed the way IMG sells its global fashion properties, transitioning the division from a multi-million-dollar loss-leader to a profitable business.
During the pandemic, she led the pivot to digital with the launch of NYFW.com as a streaming platform and created an exclusive partnership with TikTok for fashion month — both long-lasting platforms that became revenue drivers. April oversaw a global team of 30+ in NY, Tokyo and Sydney.
April graduated from New York University and resides in New York City.
