Alex Banys is the Director of global ecommerce and digital marketing for Specialized Bicycle Components. He is responsible for leading the company’s global ecommerce business to drive new growth, consumer loyalty and sustainable profitability, including establishing specialized.com as the digital flagship store through an engaging user experience, a breadth and depth of product assortments, and an expanded global presence. He works in close partnership with the global sales and operations teams to deliver a seamless experience to riders around the world. Most recently, he was responsible for re-platforming Specialized’s ecommerce presence globally. 44 countries were migrated successfully in 9 months and the improvements combined for double-digit revenue and conversion growth from the first month of launch.
Alex brings more than 13 years of retail and ecommerce leadership to the role, previously as Director, Ecommerce North America at Victorinox Swiss Army. His background includes driving growth through data-driven acquisition marketing, enterprise testing and optimization, UX redesign, and driving product advancements such as ship from store, click and collect, and same-day delivery. Alex holds a BA degree from Middlebury College and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
