Nikhat Afza is a technology leader who has successfully proven helping organizations leverage and scale Machine Learning and Personalization to solve business problems by increasing retention, engagement and conversions in the order of millions creating significant upside for those organizations.

She is currently responsible for next-generation personalization and interactive content reinforcing habits for Alexa Mobile users. She is the key driver for envisioning and evangelizing personalization across Alexa Mobile using cutting edge ML tools for real time prediction and content delivery.

Prior to Amazon she led the Mobile technology team at Macys and Bloomingdales responsible for all aspects of the Mobile apps, enabling store convergence tactics merging offline and online shopping experience. Her past achievements include winning several awards like “Etail Best in Class Mobile Award 2018” and “Best of Best Macys Chairman’s Award”. She was featured at Grace Hopper 2016 Keynote session representing Women in Tech for Macys. 

She continues to show her commitment towards the technology community as a coach, mentor and speaker. Nikhat has a B’Tech from University of Mumbai, and a M.S. in C.S. from University of Illinois, Chicago.
