Chris began his marketing career as a copywriter, but quickly transitioned into digital marketing when he joined internet incubator idealab! in Pasadena, CA in 1999. There, Chris got his start in search marketing with GoTo.com, the original PPC engine.
Chris later served as a client director and creative services manager for search agency Outrider, part of WPP’s GroupM. There, Chris managed both SEO and PPC accounts for clients such as Chevron, Microsoft, Xbox, Showtime and Dr. Pepper. Chris later served as director of SEM for Kansas City agency Barkley, where he helped build the search department and contributed to multiple new business wins. Chris has continued his agency work, managing a wide variety of clients across multiple verticals in search, display and paid social.
For the past 2.5 years, Chris has led SEM, display and paid social in-house for Teleflora, one of the country’s leading online flower brands.
