Adeela Hussain Johnson is a business executive with over 20 years of experience and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of global lifestyle brand BÉIS Travel. As a founding member of BÉIS, Adeela has built and led the organization alongside actor and entrepreneur Shay Mitchell. Her keen ability to identify market opportunity, create a strategic vision to capitalize on growth, and build an infrastructure to scale quickly and responsibly is indicative in the unprecedented growth of BÉIS, now surpassing a quarter billion dollars in less than five years. Over the course of her career, Adeela has served in leadership roles at a range of businesses from large Fortune 50 companies like Target and Ameriprise Financial to pre-revenue start-ups. She believes strongly in the power of strong leadership and the value of team and investing in people. She is an involved member at Chief, a network of senior executive women reflecting her commitment to female leadership and ongoing personal development. She empowers her team to take risks, push boundaries, be nimble and think big. Her innovative and inclusive approach to leadership and team building has cultivated a collaborative and high performing work culture within BÉIS, winning Inc. Magazine’s Best Place to Work Award in 2024. Adeela is passionate about mentorship, continuous growth and sharing her industry knowledge, as seen in key publications such as Yahoo Finance, Glossy, Forbes, and in her participation in several podcasts with AdWeek and Woman Inc. and more. She studied at Indiana University and later received her MBA from the Kelley School of Business. Outside of being an executive, she is married to her college sweetheart and a mother to three beautiful children and a Goldendoodle named Montego. She loves to travel and be outdoors and lives a few miles from the beach, in Southern California.
