Founder Apex CEO Advisory

Growing up in a large family, I learned the value of hard work early on, working graveyard shifts in our family donut shop for just 25 cents an hour. My entrepreneurial journey began humbly in my garage with no money or seed capital. Over 2 decades, I transformed this small start-up into a thriving business with millions of products sold and $600 million in cumulative sales, culminating in $80 million in a single year. Retaining 100% of the stock, I successfully exited by selling the company to private equity in a mid-eight-figure deal. This journey has equipped me with unique insights and empathy, which I now channel into helping other entrepreneurs navigate their paths to success.

2:40 PM Track 5: Fireside Chat: The Evolution of Global Talent in 2025

Global ecommerce talent has evolved impressively in the last few years. In a push for profitability, companies are increasingly looking for global talent for increased efficiency. Up until recently, most ecommerce operators would typically only leverage offshore talent for tasks such as data entry, virtual assistant, customer service, etc. Moreover, ecommerce companies that manufacture goods in China usually just have a supply chain team over there. Today, the global talent pool is able to supplement if not replace most if not all roles in the US. Going forward, global teams will be leaders in the ecommerce industry both for high growth and sustainable profitability.
