Katie Lefkowtiz is the founder and CEO of Harken Sweets, the superfood-infused candy bar that is 100% plant-based and made without sugar added. The brand was born when Katie, a former COO of Caulipower and lifelong Snickers fanatic, sought to create a truly milk-style chocolatey coating reminiscent of classic candy bars after a diagnosis related to colon cancer, which put gut health at the forefront of her life and forced her to give up traditional candy. Determined to find alternatives that measured up to her favorites, she began experimenting with ingredients that promote gut health. She created Harken Sweets—which is non-GMO project verified, plant-based vegan chocolate made from dates and oat chocolate while still boasting unmatched taste—as a way for consumers to “harken” back to the nostalgic candy they grew up eating.
