John Donoghue

SVP, Corporate Development CaaStle

John Donoghue is a member of the management team at CaaStle, where he serves as Senior Vice President for Corporate Development. He has spent the last 15 years growing B2B subscription and marketplace businesses in multiple industry verticals.  

Prior to joining CaaStle, John was a member of the management team at Gerson Lehrman Group, (“GLG”) where he launched and managed five subscription businesses that grew to $200M+ in ARR. He built and managed a team of 250 FTE’s.  

John began his career in Washington, DC, where he served as a political aide at the White House to Vice President Al Gore and later as an Associate Counsel in the White House Counsel’s office, one of the youngest lawyers ever to serve in that capacity. John thereafter practiced law at O’Melveny & Myers, where he represented Fortune 500 clients in complex telecommunications, financial services and product liability litigation. 

In 2004, John spent the year running the Democratic National Convention in Boston during which he managed a team of 500 employees and volunteers and an operating budget of $500M. John and team chose then Senate-candidate Barack Obama as the convention’s keynote speaker.  

John received his undergraduate degree and juris doctor, with honors, from Georgetown University. He lives in Westport, CT with his wife, Becky, and their three children.
