Ryan Smith is Founder & CEO of FTSY (‘footsy’), an A.I. service for matching people to shoes that fit. His company delivers outstanding customer experiences with footwear brands by solving the sizing/fitting issues that comes with this type of consumer good. As a lifelong athlete with narrow, high arch feet, Ryan is on a mission to match people to products that feel great no matter one’s body shape. Ryan started out in Physics, working in Hawaii in Volcanology, then Germany with MRI/3D scanning for brain tumors, before moving into enterprise software and business intelligence programs. Recruited into The University of British Columbia’s $1.5 billion fundraising campaign, Ryan led strategic partnerships, investments, and philanthropy for Science. It was during the UBC MBA program that Ryan and classmates started FTSY.
