eTail Announces Finalists for 2015 Best-In-Class-Awards

eTail West 2015 Best-In-Class Award Program recognizes leading retailers and brands in four areas of innovation and excellence.

NEW YORK, N.Y., January 23, 2015- For the fifth year in a row, eTail West is recognizing leading brands in their annual Best in Class awards.  Retailers are nominated in four categories and then selected by a judging panel of peers based on innovation and results. This year’s finalists are on the cutting edge in their respective fields, showcasing where the future of eCommerce and multi-channel retail is headed.

Last year’s winners were Ascena Retail Group in the Email category, Sears in Social for their “Shop Your Way” program, Wyndham Hotel Group in Search and American Eagle Outfitters in Mobile. This year’s crop of finalists are also leading the charge to both acquire and retain customers using these channels, and are seeing a tremendous ROI.


Email marketing is well-trodden turf; one that will guarantee returns, but with increasing difficulty in terms of deliverability and open rates.  These companies were able to use email to truly move the needle for their businesses. This year’s finalists in the email category are:

Mastering search is no easy feat, as retailers are constantly trying to stay ahead of unexpected and rapid changes in the both the search environment and consumer search behavior. Finalists in the search category are:

  • The North Face
  • Staples Canada
  • Lakeshore Learning
  • Office Depot


Mobile is, has been, and will continue to be the number one “game changer” in retail. Companies that have mastered how to close the conversion gap will win customers by exceeding their expectations. This year’s finalists in the mobile category are:

  • Metal Mulisha
  • Rebecca Minkoff
  • Wyndham Hotel Group
  • Staples Canada


Social media continues to evolve. The number of channels that consumers use to engage in brand conversations are increasing, so to is the importance of social interactions that foster these conversations. Finalists in the social category are:

  • Lowe’s
  • Lenovo
  • Zales
  • Sportsman’s guide

Category winners will be announced at the eTail Awards Reception on Thursday, February 19th.
